Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Assembler to join a second-shift manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for the mechanical assembly of bearing components and finished products using presses, hand tools, torque tools, and testing equipment.

No previous bearing assembly experience is required. Training is provided, and employees will be cross-trained at multiple assembly stations. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined candidates who are detail-oriented, dependable, and interested in developing hands-on manufacturing skills.

The position offers a regular four-day Monday–Thursday schedule in a temperature-controlled manufacturing facility.

• Ability to work required overtime when production demands require
• Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble bearing components and finished products according to specifications
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and detailed assembly instructions
• Clean and prepare bearing components before assembly
• Identify and gather required parts and components
• Assemble bearings and related finished products
• Install components according to required sequence and specifications
• Operate presses and other production equipment
• Use hand tools and torque tools during assembly
• Apply grease and lubricants according to production requirements
• Operate spin and testing equipment
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Identify improperly assembled or defective components
• Perform rework when necessary
• Secure packaging and materials as required
• Rotate between multiple assembly stations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety and production procedures
• Perform additional assembly duties as assigned

Bearing Assembly Responsibilities

Employees may work with a variety of precision bearing components and finished assemblies.

Responsibilities may include:

• Component preparation
• Mechanical assembly
• Press operations
• Component installation
• Lubrication
• Torque verification
• Product testing
• Quality inspection
• Rework
• Packaging preparation

No previous bearing-specific experience is required. Training will be provided on the appropriate assembly processes and equipment.

Tools & Equipment

Candidates may use or operate:

• Production presses
• Assembly fixtures
• Hand tools
• Torque tools
• Spin-testing equipment
• Lubrication equipment
• Basic precision measuring equipment
• Packaging equipment

Quality & Inspection Responsibilities

• Inspect components before and during assembly
• Verify finished products are assembled according to specifications
• Check component fit and positioning
• Identify damaged, defective, or incorrect components
• Perform rework when assemblies do not meet quality requirements
• Maintain strong attention to detail during repetitive production activities
• Report quality concerns to appropriate personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous mechanical assembly experience
• Manufacturing or production experience
• Experience using hand and torque tools
• Blueprint-reading experience
• Precision measuring experience
• Mechanical, automotive, machining, or similar hands-on background
• Experience operating presses or other production equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and remain active throughout a 10-hour shift
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for detailed assembly work
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
• Frequent bending, reaching, positioning, and material handling
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
• Ability to safely operate presses, tools, and assembly equipment
• Comfortable performing physically active manufacturing work throughout the shift

Work Environment

• Temperature-controlled manufacturing facility
• Hands-on mechanical assembly and production environment
• Regular use of presses, hand tools, torque tools, and testing equipment
• Detail-oriented work involving precision components and finished products
• Employees are cross-trained at multiple assembly stations
• Regular Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM schedule
• Overtime required as production needs dictate
• Strong emphasis on safety, quality, accuracy, productivity, and dependable attendance
