Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Assembler 3 to join the manufacturing team in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will perform a variety of production assembly tasks on mechanical and electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, panels, frames, boards, and cables.

This position requires experience with mechanical assembly, reading technical drawings, and using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and machines using hand and power tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOM)
  • Align, fit, and adjust parts to ensure proper operation and tolerances
  • Install components such as bearings, gears, motors, shafts, conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform fabrication tasks including drilling, tapping, and grinding
  • Conduct quality inspections to verify specifications and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S and safety standards
  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience, industrial equipment, or machinery preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical or vocational training in Mechanical Technology or a related field
  • Experience with custom machinery, automation, or manufacturing environments
  • Forklift or overhead crane certification
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Experience with PLC systems is a plus
  • Willingness to work up to 10 hours of overtime per week

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and reaching
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
