Job Description:

Assembler 3

Location: Fremont, California (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

This role involves the assembly of wafer fabrication equipment in a clean-room environment. The position requires navigating computer-based work instructions to install parts and hardware using various hand tools and fixtures. The assembler will work within a team to maintain workflow and meet production schedules, responding with flexibility to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively use hand tools, torque wrenches, and fixtures to assemble equipment.
  • Read and follow computer-based work instructions and schematics.
  • Perform visual inspections of components and verify correct parts are used.
  • Work collaboratively in a team to ensure production schedules are maintained.
  • Provide flexibility for changing priorities, including rework and pilot projects.
  • Document and close assigned tasks, verifying work completion.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including clean room procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and issues.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • Proven dependability, efficiency, and an eye for quality in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
  • Ability to operate and use hand tools such as calipers, wrenches, hoists, screwdrivers, and torque wrenches.
  • Experience with computer-based data systems and applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Proactive with the ability to take initiative.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

Work Environment

This position requires working 12-plus hour shifts in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment. Physical requirements include:

  • Lifting and installing parts up to 35 pounds.
  • Frequent kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
  • Comfortably scaling a 10-step ladder.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors for wire identification.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
