Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for assembler positions on the third shift at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. These are temp-to-hire positions.
The hours are 10:30 p.m.-7 a.m., Sunday-Thursday. Candidates must be available to train on the first or second shift. The salary is $23 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Accurately picking necessary parts for production orders
Assemble, check and package sub-components and finished products according to instruction, production order, work and inspection instructions as well as drawings in a quality and schedule-minded fashion
Perform computer and administrative work such as order printing and label creation
Coordinate transport arrangements with shipping
Mount items necessary for fulfilling assembly orders of sub-components and finished products
Maintain order at the workplace, in the storage locations, and in rooms of general use
Temporary assignments as floater in different assembly teams
Cooperation within assembly team
Coordinate work assignments
Handle the more complex assemblies
Backup line leader when needed
Provide training for other assemblers
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2 or more years of assembly experience
Experience working overnight shift
Mechanical ability necessary
Able to work well in small team
Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including heavy lifting
Able to operate computers and electronic test equipment
Able to handle time constraints and deadlines, and prioritize work
Able to read and write English
Able to pass pre-employment screenings
