May perform lock wiring, first stage subassembly, and final detailing functions. Works on products that contain mechanical components, single hydraulic systems, and multiple part numbers. Actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. Receives general supervisory guidance.\n \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\n Performs moderately complex assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.\n \n\n Records test results on data forms using moderately complex electrical equipment and flow measurement devices. May use X\u2010Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, and other related equipment.\n \n\n Identifies malfunctions disclosed by test data and reworks as instructed.\n \n\n Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.\n \n\n Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specifications. It is intended to describe the general nature of the position.\n \nQUALIFICATIONS:\n \nTwo or more years industry related experience in assembly/test in a manufacturing environment.\n \nDemonstrate product and process knowledge by applying it to newly learned techniques.\n \nAble to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.\n \nProficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications. Perform basic mathematical calculations, as well as demonstrate effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills.\n \nPossess strong mechanical reasoning.\n \nAble to implement and effectively apply lean initiatives. Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.\n \nAble to interpret reports and use standard business software applications. Able to use employee self\u2010service to access on\u2010line information and use specialized automated systems (i.e. PMR, TORS, e\u2010mail).\n \nMay require soldering certification per customer requirements.\n \nAbility to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self\u2010development activities.\n \n(07/02/2002) (C/O July 2015)\n \nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\n\n Highschool diploma/GED required. Additional Training or degree preferred.\n 2 years or more of relevant experience.\n \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n \nKnowledge and understanding of customer service administration policies and practices, and FAA regulations including government procurement if applicable. General knowledge of Parker products and manufacturing, inspection and repair processes.
