About the Role

Dexter is looking for Assemblers to help build finished products by putting together parts and components using hand and power tools. This is a hands-on manufacturing role where quality, safety, and attention to detail matter.

If you like working with tools, following clear instructions, and seeing the results of your work at the end of the day, this is a solid opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assemble parts and components following step-by-step instructions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools to complete assemblies
  • Inspect work as you go to make sure products meet quality standards
  • Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE
  • Keep your work area clean and organized
  • Work at a steady pace to meet production goals
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors as needed
  • Help with other production tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior assembly experience, especially in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with hand tools and basic manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read instructions, drawings, and measurements
  • Safety-first mindset
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Reliable and motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing facility with forklift traffic and powered equipment
  • Exposure to noise, vibration from tools, dust, dirt, and grease
  • Some areas with high noise levels
  • Exposure to outdoor elements and high heat during certain months
  • Required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and protective clothing

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hand and power tools
  • Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
