This role is for an Assembler in Bethpage, NY, supporting a leading aerospace & defense company on a one-year contract-to-hire basis.
Required skills include U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma or equivalent, 10+ years of experience in aircraft or similar assembly, and proficiency with hardware, drawings, hand tools, and basic computer skills.
Preferred skills involve experience with milling machines, installing bushings, working with mechanical/electronic assemblies, and prototype builds.
Responsibilities include assembling mechanical and electronic components, following diagrams, performing layout and assembly, conducting tests, rework, and quality checks, and supporting prototypes.
The work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, onsite with up to 10% travel. Pay is up to $33.35/hr.
