Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Assembler to join our team at Choate Engineering Performance. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting diesel engines and related components to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble diesel engines and related components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Perform quality checks and inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel engines, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve assembly-related challenges.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Document assembly processes and maintain records of work performed.
• Utilize various tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in diesel technology.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in diesel engine assembly or mechanical assembly.
• Strong understanding of diesel engine components and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various conditions, including noise and varying temperatures.
