Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Summary:
- Shift Timings: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM PST, Monday through Friday
- Location: Camarillo, CA
Responsibilities:
- Set up equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping, and contact hooding.
- Weigh, mix, and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds, and potting materials.
- Interface with customers if necessary.
- Follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
- Perform connector assemblies with limited to no supervision.
- Train and assist Assembler 1s.
- Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.
- Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions.
- Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order instructions.
- Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.
- Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.
- Paint components and apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
- Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment.
- Stage materials for shipment as required.
- Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations.
- Ability to read, follow, and understand verbal instructions, product/process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
- Ability to use calculators.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to the use of hand tools.
- Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdowns.
- Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
