Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Summary:

  • 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Set up equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping, and contact hooding.
  • Weigh, mix, and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds, and potting materials.
  • Interface with customers if necessary.
  • Follow intermediate drawings and procedures to perform connector assemblies.
  • Perform work with limited to no supervision and train and assist Assembler I employees.
  • Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.
  • Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts and bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order instructions.
  • Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.
  • Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies and paint components, as well as apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
  • Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Stage materials for shipment as required.
  • Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations.
  • Ability to read, follow, and understand verbal instruction, product/process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
  • Ability to use calculators.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to the use of hand tools.
  • Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown.
  • Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Camarillo will be considered.
