Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

This role involves assembling pump assemblies at an individual bench station using small hand tools and torque wrenches. You follow detailed work orders and read blueprints to ensure each assembly meets quality and performance standards. You work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and a high level of mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble pump assemblies accurately and efficiently according to work orders and engineering specifications.

+ Use small hand tools, torque wrenches, and related equipment to assemble parts and components.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to perform correct assembly steps and verify configurations.

+ Work independently at a bench to complete assigned assemblies within established timeframes.

+ Inspect parts and assemblies for accuracy, fit, and quality, and correct issues as needed.

+ Handle mechanical and basic electrical components during the assembly process as required.

+ Maintain an organized and safe work area within small work cells.

+ Lift and move parts and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.

+ Follow all safety procedures and company policies while using tools and equipment.

+ Communicate any issues with parts, tools, or documentation to the appropriate team members.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2 years of assembly experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency using hand tools and torque wrenches for mechanical assembly.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how parts and systems fit and function.

+ Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality, accurate assemblies.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

+ Comfort working independently at a bench within small work cells.

+ Basic familiarity with electrical components used in assemblies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience assembling pumps or similar mechanical equipment.

+ Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to follow standardized work processes and continuous improvement practices.

+ Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and correcting assembly issues.

+ Good communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and team members when needed.

Work Environment

The role is based in an industrial setting organized into small work cells where you work primarily at an individual bench. The standard shift runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime schedule. You use small hand tools, torque wrenches, and related equipment in a hands-on environment focused on precision and safety. The work involves regular lifting of parts and assemblies up to 50 pounds and requires adherence to site safety practices and appropriate industrial attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
