Role and Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes and wire harnesses for industrial equipment
- Fabricate controls according to specification, including layout of physical mounting of components and wiring all components
- Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards
- Determine dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures
- Point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, I/O modules, VFD’s, interfaces and instrumentation
- Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions
- Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication
- Communicate fabrication status to internal stakeholders and external customers daily
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to read control system wiring diagrams
- Ability to convert metric to standard measurements and convert degrees to inches
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to abide by basic safe work practices
- 1-2 Years of electrical experience
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, use simple math and interpret documents.
- Ability to show up on time, ready to work with proper PPE
- Must successfully pass a background check& drug test
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC)
- Material Handling: Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
Work Environment: Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
