Job Title: Electronic Assembler

Location: Coopersville, MI

Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire | Excellent long-term growth opportunity!

Shift: 3rd shift, Sun-Thurs, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am

Pay: $18/hr

General Purpose: The Electronic Assembler is responsible for assembling electrical and electronic components used in automotive center console systems for Ford vehicles. This role requires the ability to follow work instructions, interpret light blueprints and diagrams, and ensure all assemblies meet quality and production standards. The assembler will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Assemble electronic and electrical components used in automotive center console products.
  • Follow work instructions, assembly procedures, and production specifications.
  • Perform light blueprint and schematic reading to support assembly processes.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Inspect components and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy.
  • Install and connect wiring, connectors, and electronic components according to specifications.
  • Maintain proper assembly techniques while meeting production goals and deadlines.
  • Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or production concerns.
  • Perform rework, adjustments, and minor corrections as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to achieve production targets.
  • Assist with material handling, parts staging, and workstation organization as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and continuously promote a safe manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or electronic assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret light blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Experience using basic hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
