PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Denver, Colorado for a 5-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports production assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment. The role includes mechanical assembly, fabrication support, quality checks, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering, quality, and production teams.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3+ years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably with machinery or industrial equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, assembly instructions, and bills of materials
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, machining, assembly, and assembly tools
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control inspections
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform bending and reaching
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination

Preferred Skills

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical technology or a related field
  • Experience in custom machinery, automation, or manufacturing environments
  • Forklift or overhead crane certification
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of GD&T standards
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers
  • Willingness to work up to 10 hours of overtime per week
  • Regular strength or conditioning activity

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machines using hand and power tools
  • Align, fit, and adjust parts to ensure proper function and tolerances
  • Install bearings, gears, motors, shafts, conveyors, pneumatic components, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, and other fabrication tasks as required
  • Conduct quality checks to verify specifications and operational performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards
  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay

  • $30.31/hour
