OSI Optoelectronics is seeking an Assembler to join their team. This individual will vacuum bake and perform cap welding on all device package types. They will also visually inspect all devices, serialize product using laser engraving station, assist in packaging and labeling product for customer shipments, and perform environmental testing.

• Cap welding of all High-Power product using both the Polaris and Amanda Cap Welders.

• Visual inspections on components prior to capping and post capping.

• Serialization of product using the Laser engraving system.
• Assist in packaging and labeling product for customer shipments.
• Perform environmental testing, Fine & Gross leak testing of product.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

• It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
• Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

• High school diploma desired.
• Must be able to work with, and properly handle, lab chemicals such as epoxy, acetone, methanol, and propanol as per Company procedures.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity are needed.
• Ability to handle sensitive, complex components and product placement using a microscope is necessary.
• Prior experience handling small electronic devices and small handheld tools a plus.
• Must be available and flexible to work a split shift or extended work schedule.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the business language (English).

Pay may range from $16.50 to $18.00 hourly 

The pay range above represents annual base salary only.  Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.

Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.  You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).  OSI also offers comprehensive benefits including various options for health plans, access to 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account, disability insurance, life insurance, AD&D insurance, leave of absence programs and an array of voluntary benefits.  In addition, paid time off is offered to be used for vacation, holidays, bereavement, and jury duty.  Full-Time salaried employees are entitled to flexible time-off.
