Job Title: Assembler/Fabricator

Reports to: Work Center Supervisor

Status: Full and Part Time Regular Non-Exempt Positions Available

Summary of Position:

 

The Assembler/Fabricator performs light assembly of products, including assembly of cartons and packing orders, and may also float between departments in the production area including working in the fabrication shop performing basic carpentry, using hand tools, and driving a forklift. The incumbent will work in a team environment where safety is the top priority.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Understanding all training and safety instructions associated with the process the employee is assigned to perform.
  • Following job instructions as posted at assembly site or in Document Control Center.
  • Performing light assembly.
  • Referring to and following work order instructions before, during, and after processing any order.
  • Performing general carpentry work using hand tools.
  • Referring to the Plan Manager or Shop Supervisor for any questions regarding assembly/fabrication operations, safety, process, or quality concerns.

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • High School Degree
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions
  • Proven work experience as an assembler
  • Ability to read tape measures and perform simple math
  • Ability to operate table saws, chop saws, pneumatic nail and staple guns
  • Good organizational skills
  • Prior forklift experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
