About Federal Equipment Company (FEC):Federal Equipment Company has been a leading supplier of marine deck machinery and specialized weapons and material handling systems. The company, now part of Fairbanks Morse Defense, is rapidly growing.Job Title: Assembler Reports To: Assembly SupervisorJob Summary:The Assembler position is an intermediate-level role responsible for independently performing more complex assembly tasks. This role requires a deeper understanding of technical drawings, assembly processes, and quality standards, with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:

Assemble moderately complex products or systems, including electrical circuits, mechanical subassemblies, and precision components.Interpret and work with advanced blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications and resolve minor assembly issues.Support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending adjustments.Train and mentor entry-level Assemblers (Assembler 1) in proper techniques and procedures.Maintain and update accurate documentation and records of assembly processes.Adhere to company safety guidelines and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related field.Proficiency in using specialized tools, testing equipment, and machinery.Strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and assembly processes.Familiarity with industry quality standards and procedures.Ability to troubleshoot minor assembly issues and work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
