Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Join Our Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler/Operator II to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling high-reliability electro-mechanical assemblies, electrical cables, and wiring harnesses used in demanding applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on assembly experience, strong technical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review assembly instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, work orders, and parts lists to prepare for production tasks.
  • Gather and organize required materials, tools, components, and equipment.
  • Assemble electrical cables and wiring harnesses in accordance with customer drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform wire preparation activities including cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, terminating, and routing wires and connectors.
  • Position and secure parts and subassemblies using fixtures, jigs, and hand tools.
  • Execute precision crimping operations to ensure proper connector and contact termination.
  • Apply soldering techniques to create secure, reliable, and high-quality electrical connections.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with workmanship and customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical assemblies as needed.
  • Record production data and assembly KPIs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to interpret technical documentation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in cable/wire harness assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, or a related manufacturing environment.
    • Candidates with less experience may be considered if they successfully complete a technical assessment and independent assembly build.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of electrical components, wiring systems, and assembly processes.
  • Experience with wire and cable types, including multi-conductor cable, coaxial cable, ribbon cable, and related products.
  • Ability to accurately perform unit conversions (inches, feet, meters, millimeters, etc.).
  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, and other basic inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to produce high-reliability electrical terminations through careful process control and inspection.
  • Skilled in creating clean, reliable solder joints with proper wetting, smooth concave fillets, correct fill, and minimal defects.
  • Experience preparing wires through stripping and tinning processes while maintaining insulation integrity and required clearances.
