Job Title: AssemblerJob Description

This role focuses on electro-mechanical assembly of complete operating systems, including wiring PLCs, building control panels, and installing instrumentation and control equipment. You will use schematics, hand tools, and power tools to assemble, wire, and test units in a clean and organized manufacturing environment. Training is available to help you become proficient with the company’s specific products and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electro-mechanical systems, including testing units, brackets, sub-assemblies, and control panels according to schematics and work instructions.
  • Wire PLCs, control panels, and related electrical components to create complete operating systems.
  • Install instrumentation and controls equipment into fully functional systems.
  • Read and interpret simple blueprints and schematics to guide assembly and wiring tasks.
  • Use drills, saws, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other basic hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Run wires and install panels, switches, outlets, and other electrical components as required.
  • Verify quality and functionality of assembled units through basic testing and inspection.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with facility standards.
  • Follow safety procedures and best practices when working with tools, electrical components, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
  • Support overtime work as needed when project deadlines approach.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Ability to read and work from schematics and simple blueprints.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and electrical assembly tasks.
  • Proficiency using basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
  • Comfort working with power tools including drills and saws.
  • Ability to run wires and install panels, switches, outlets, and other electrical components.
  • Capability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in assembly and wiring.
  • Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization in the work area.
  • Reliability in meeting production expectations and supporting project deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work is a plus.
  • Proficiency with bending up to 1-inch EMT conduit is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read simple blueprints or schematics with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use and bring personal basic hand tools, including: adjustable wrench (6" or 8"), box wrench set (3/8"–3/4"), screwdriver set (Phillips and flat), channel locks, wire strippers (10–20 AWG), wire cutters, wire crimpers, needle-nose pliers, ratchet and socket set, nut driver set, and hammer.
  • Willingness to learn and receive training on company-specific systems and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality in both mechanical and electrical work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a nice, smaller, clean, and organized manufacturing facility focused on assembling complete operating systems. The standard schedule is a first-shift role, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime when project deadlines approach. You will work with a variety of hand tools and power tools, including drills, saws, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other common equipment used in mechanical and electrical assembly. The dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans and a T-shirt, suitable for a hands-on production environment. The facility emphasizes a safe, orderly workspace and supports a team-oriented atmosphere where meeting deadlines and maintaining quality are key priorities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
