Assembler

Position Summary

Fits and assembles components and subcomponents of forklift truck per specifications of assembly drawings and standard operations procedures.  

Knowledge / Skills / Experience / Certifications / Licenses

High School Diploma or GED

Good hand eye coordination skills

Ability to work with various electrical, hand, and air tools

2+ years stable work history

Equipment and Tools Used

Overhead Crane

Ait and Electric Wrenches

Hand Tools

Grinder

Ohmeters

Timing Light

Working Conditions

Debris from grinders and impact wrenches; Splashing from fluids (brake, transmission, hydraulic)

Heavy moving equipment, overhead cranes, sparks and hot engine parts

Exposure to flammables such as diesel gasoline, propane, and LP gas and oils

Non-climate controlled manufacturing plant environment

Job Duties

Pulls parts needed and assembles as instructed

Maintains component stock levels

Checks and performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment

Maintain clean work area

Observe all safety and company rules and procedures

perform other duties as required
