A well-established supplier of industrial vibration monitoring systems is seeking an Assembler to perform the assembly of various components according to detailed instructions and guidelines. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing processes, with expertise in assembly, testing, and electronic soldering. Working both independently and collaboratively, the new hire will ensure operational efficiency by adhering to quality and safety standards, operating machinery, and contributing to ongoing improvement efforts.
        
Salary + Additional Benefits:

Hours: 6am-5pm M-TH (must be available to work overtime Friday (8-10 hours) and Saturday (6 hours) when needed)
Location: Houston, TX 77064
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities: 
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Perform machine setup where applicable; run machines and processes.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fabricate components as needed.
  • Follow Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines and regulations governing workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals.
  • Train other employees on job functions and safety requirements, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by team lead and supervisor.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement process.
  • Participate in Near Miss program.
  • Must remain up to date on all training (i.e., safety, 5’S).
  • Follow all company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
  • Work independently and employ effective time management skills.
  • Over-time as required.

Requirements:
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with manufacturing processes 
  •  2 years of electronic soldering experience
  • 1 year of experience with a laser engraver/welder preferred
  • Small parts/ components assembly experience
  • Small parts/ components Testing
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow relevant assembly, testing, and QMS procedures
