Position Summary:
The Assembler I position performs repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to produce steel tube cleaners. The assembler may be required to work at different stations as production needs require. Tasks will be directed by the Team Lead, however successful candidates must be able to work with minimum oversite, pay attention to detail, perform preventative maintenance on equipment, transport and assemble equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling
Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using hand, power, pneumatic, and automated tools and equipment
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment, and automatic fastener machine
Lifts, transports, assembles, and reassembles equipment and materials as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety regulations
Set up and prepare support equipment as required
Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and report equipment malfunctions or defective materials to supervisor
Participate in team safety meetings and cross-functional planning sessions
Complete online and in-person safety training
Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and employee responsibilities outlined in the Safety Policies and Procedures Manual
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Work Environment:
The work environment involves manufacturing facilities. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials, high pressure equipment, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures. Rotational schedules and extended shifts are common. Safety is a top priority, with rigorous training protocols and PPE may include hard hats, gloves, and high-visibility clothing provided to mitigate risks.
