Job Title: Kit Pack Operator (3rd Shift)
Location: Tucson, AZ 85755
Pay rate: $20.61/hr (Includes 3rd shift differential)
Work schedule: 3rd Shift; 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Overview

The Kit Pack Operator is responsible for operating machinery and assembling products according to precise technical specifications. This position ensures complete quality control throughout the assembly line process while maintaining strict production efficiency and safe handling of all facility tools. The ideal candidate adapts well to overnight shifts and works collaboratively to report operational issues immediately to supervisors.

Job Specifications

Daily Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation & Assembly: Run production machinery and assemble components according to strict technical guidelines and structural specifications.
  • Quality Control: Perform rigorous quality inspections during assembly to catch defects and ensure product integrity.
  • Production Efficiency: Meet and maintain facility production quotas, efficiency goals, and output benchmarks.
  • Safety & Upkeep: Safely operate specialized industrial tools and equipment, keeping the workspace aligned with corporate safety standards.
  • Escalation: Monitor operations closely and report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety issues directly to shift supervisors.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
  • Shift Adaptability: Proven ability or willingness to regularly work a structured overnight schedule (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM).
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot minor line standardizations or discrepancies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to successfully hand off tasks across shifts and update supervisors.
Technology Requirements
  • Foundational proficiency with standard industry tools, computer interfaces, or tracking software.
Education & Experience
  • Experience: 0-5 years of professional experience.
  • Preferred / Ideal Background: Previous manufacturing, assembly line, or warehouse experience is highly preferred. Candidates who have successfully worked overnight shifts or swing shifts in the past are ideal.
