PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Endicott, NY for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports the assembly of electronic and mechanical components used in advanced technologies. You will work in a hands-on production environment using tools and following detailed instructions, with training provided to help you succeed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school education
- Ability to use manual and power hand tools
- Ability to follow work instructions and log tasks on a computer
- Strong communication skills
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Standard Test (VAST), including color vision
- Willingness to learn and be trained
What You’ll Do
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and modules
- Use hand and power tools to build, modify, test, repair, and rework assemblies
- Follow written instructions, diagrams, and process sheets
- Perform both repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Track work progress and log tasks in production systems
- Support team production goals and continuous improvement efforts
Preferred Skills
- Experience applying conformal coating
- Soldering experience with electrical components
- Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT)
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Pay
- 1st Shift: $19.50/hr
- 2nd Shift: $21.45/hr (includes shift differential)
- Weekend Shift: Up to $23.83/hr
