Job Title: Assembler I
Location: Pomona, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $19.00 $20.00/hour (W2)
Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM

Job Summary
The Assembler I is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by setting up, operating, and making adjustments to equipment used in production. This role requires assembling, filling, packaging, inspection, documentation, and routine troubleshooting while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed assembly, filling, and packaging of reagents.
  • Set up and operate Masterflex equipment following established guidelines.
  • Complete assembly, packaging, and preparation activities in compliance with approved procedures.
  • Perform line clearance, equipment setup, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance.
  • Assemble, inspect, repair, and test products following written instructions.
  • Complete production and equipment documentation accurately.
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Assist Engineering and Maintenance teams with troubleshooting and equipment repairs.
  • Support new equipment installation and validation activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and process improvements.
  • Assist with product quality investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Production teams.
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  • 2 5 years of experience in assembly, filling, or packaging within a manufacturing environment.
  • Pharmaceutical, medical device, or food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience reading work orders and following written instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of GMP.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable completing paper-based documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine production issues.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift while rotating between tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 5 years of related manufacturing experience.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a quality system environment.
  • Ability to use sound judgment when troubleshooting routine manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO, OSHA, or similar manufacturing regulations.
  • Understanding of manufacturing documentation, compliance, inventory control, and production scheduling.
