Job Title: Assembler I Location: Pomona, CA Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: $18.00 $20.00/hr on W2
Job Summary:
The Assembler I position is responsible for performing assembly, filling, packaging, and manufacturing support activities under general supervision. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions, complete documentation accurately, and support manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience with assembly, filling, packaging, or manufacturing processes. Pharma experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with food industry packaging experience will also be considered. Responsibilities:
Perform assembly, packaging, and preparation operations according to approved documentation and quality standards.
Set up and perform adjustments to equipment used in manufacturing operations.
Operate equipment such as Masterflex systems for filling and volume control.
Complete line clearance, equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
Assemble, repair, inspect, and test products by following detailed written instructions.
Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting.
Assist Engineering and Maintenance teams with equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
Complete and maintain accurate production and equipment documentation.
Read and understand work orders, instructions, and manufacturing documents.
Support continuous improvement activities such as 5S and OEE.
Assist with new equipment installation and validation activities.
Support product quality problem-solving and corrective actions.
Participate in root cause analysis activities under supervisor or manager guidance.
Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Management teams.
Dispose of hazardous waste materials according to procedures.
Maintain professional behavior and follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2 5 years of experience in assembly, filling, packaging, or manufacturing operations.
Experience with reagent filling and packaging preferred.
Pharma manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Ability to read and follow work orders and written instructions.
Basic knowledge of GMP.
Basic math skills.
Basic computer skills with minimal Excel experience.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to stand for extended periods and rotate through different tasks.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Additional Information:
Position requires working on feet throughout the day.
Work involves detailed documentation, mostly printed and handwritten.
