Job Description

Title: Assembler
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Duration: 06+ months extendable contract
Shift Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m


We are seeking a skilled Assembler II to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components and instruments according to SOPs, work instructions, and technical drawings. The position also performs testing, calibration, inspection, and documentation to ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble components, wiring, cable harnesses, instruments, and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Perform testing, calibration, and verification of instruments and accurately document results.
  • Inspect components and finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and production issues and work with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate production, material, labeling, and quality records.
  • Follow GMP, QMS, FDA, ISO, safety, and company requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and may train other assemblers as proficiency is demonstrated.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience; medical device or diagnostics experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, or electronic assembly and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, and specifications.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and basic measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Good communication, hand-eye coordination, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
