Shift Available: • 1st shift hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday • Overtime is available, and occasional Saturday flexibility is required

Job Summary: Our Small Piece Assemblers continually work with their hands and deal with small details. With the assistance of microscopes and tweezers, the Assembler will build components and sub-assemblies for high-powered lasers following a set routine with specific procedures and instructions while operating machinery and standing at a workstation.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Inspect kit, install, and assemble components of fiber-optic medical products, optical fibers, ferrules, connectors, and packaging components. • Operate manufacturing test equipment, fiber-optic strippers, and cleavers, power meters, oscilloscopes, laser test stations, RFID readers, and microscopes. • Use bonding materials, epoxies, glues, etc. • Wear appropriate cleanroom attire, work in a controlled manufacturing area requiring coats, hair, and beard nets, gloves, and booties. • Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas. • Crosstrain in production process or area as assigned by the Supervisor. • Meet assigned production metrics as defined by the Supervisor. • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. • Perform basic setup and troubleshooting of equipment as needed. • Train other assemblers as assigned.
