Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Overview:

Become part of a leading aerospace manufacturing organization known for producing high-quality aircraft structures, systems, and components. In this role, you'll support the build process by preparing and assembling precision parts using a variety of tools and techniques. This position is ideal for individuals with a mechanical mindset who enjoy hands-on work in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials for assembly by performing tasks such as drilling and deburring
  • Assemble parts and subassemblies, including installing hardware like ground studs and nut plates
  • Perform bonding, fastening, and other mechanical assembly processes
  • Use hand tools, pneumatic equipment, and measurement devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
  • Complete riveting and countersinking operations to specification
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in sheet metal or mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Experience with riveting, countersinking, and basic fabrication processes
  • Comfortable working with drills, hand tools, and production equipment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop new skills
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers or height gauges
  • Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities

Work Environment:

This position is based in a structured and well-maintained manufacturing facility producing sheet metal and steel components for aerospace applications. Expect a hands-on environment that may involve noise and heavy materials.

  • Swing Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (includes shift differential)
  • Initial training takes place on day shift (starting at 7:00 AM), typically starting from Tuesdays
  • Opportunities for pay increases upon permanent hire

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
