Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assembler/Laborer to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical and/or electrical components, operating production equipment, and ensuring all products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, enjoys hands-on work, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble components and products according to work instructions, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect parts and finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Conduct occasional shop primer painting on standard products.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S and safety practices.
- Record production data, including quantities, scrap, and cycle times, as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training activities.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, or related field preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, or schematics.
- Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with mechanical or electrical assembly.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
