Job Description
The Electronic Assembler is responsible for performing production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment. This role supports assembly, soldering, inspection, testing, and rework activities while ensuring compliance with quality and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies including modules, boards, panels, frames, drawers, and cables
- Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies
- Perform hand soldering and assembly of electronic components
- Support quality inspections in accordance with production and quality specifications
- Disassemble, modify, rework, repair, and reassemble assemblies and subassemblies as required
- Test prototype and experimental assemblies under simulated operating conditions
- Interpret assembly instructions, work orders, and technical documentation
- Maintain compliance with manufacturing, safety, and quality standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members and production personnel
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- High School Diploma or GED
- IPC J-STD-001 Certification
- 1-3 years of experience in hand soldering or electronic component assembly
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow detailed instructions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- 5+ years of experience in hand soldering, inspection, rework/repair, and use of soldering equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and assembly drawings
- Experience with MES software systems
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Education & Experience- High School diploma/GED with related manufacturing and electronic assembly experience.
