Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Assembler Level 3/4 join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located Hopkinton, MA. This will be for A-Shift 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling passive microwave components using various hand tools in a secured environment. Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies such as antennas, filters, frames, and waveguide assemblies. Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds, sit or stand for 4 hours at a time, work from drawings, work instruction, and routers. Capable of working with various hand tools, and measuring parts to +/-.002 for trimming. Ensure completed assignments are defect free and comply with drawing/work instructions.

This position can be filled at either Level 3 or Level 4 depending on experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Assembler Leve 3:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of experience in the following: Manufacturing, Production, Assembly or relevant/related experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Experience with following written work instructions, assembly procedures, and prints.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical assembly or automotive/equipment repair.
  • Ability to manually tighten ¼ inch bolts to 120 inch pounds
  • Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds and sit or stand for 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to obtain and Maintain U.S. Government Clearance.

Assembler Leve 4:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) with years of experience in the following: Manufacturing, Production, Assembly or relevant/related experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Experience with following written work instructions, assembly procedures, and prints.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical assembly or automotive/equipment repair.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer literate
  • Machine shop and de-burring experience
  • Torch brazing and chromate experience
  • Strong oral & written communication skills and math skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $61,100.00 - $101,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate''s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
