Overview
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations on complex assemblies and sub-assemblies. This role requires hands-on experience with wiring, component installation, and precision assembly while working from technical documentation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and able to work independently on moderately complex tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products
- Follow schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and written/verbal instructions to complete assembly tasks
- Execute wiring, cable harnessing, and component installation with precision
- Perform hand soldering and ensure proper connections and assembly quality
- Set up and adjust equipment, maintaining tolerances to required specifications
- Identify and resolve assembly issues, making recommendations as needed
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding production status
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electronic or electro-mechanical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Experience with hand tools, soldering equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cable harnessing and precision wiring
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments
