Job Description
Summary:
The Assembler position will involve various numbers of employees working together in a group to produce load center or metering power management devices. Successful employees will be knowledgeable and be able to perform all basic operations needed to produce the parts from start to finish. This will include set up, assembly, and repairing when necessary. Successful employees perform quality and other checks where necessary to produce good quality devices. They will share in handling all materials used in the area and the movement of finished devices to designated areas. It will be the group's responsibility to count parts on a periodic basis and order parts as needed.
What you will be doing:
• Assembly of electrical components
• Usage of hand power tools
• Hang product on the paint line
• Rotate station to station
• Preform qualify checks
• Count and order parts when needed
Requirements:
• A high school diploma/GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs regularly during shift.
• Stand, walk, bend for duration of shift (up to 12 hours)
• Ability to wear all leather steel boot metatarsal guard safety shoes for duration of shift
Assistance is provided on lifting over 40lbs (i.e. two person lifts).
REQUIRED PPE- METATARSALS THAT MEET THE ASTM-F2413-18
Metatarsals are required for this role. They must meet the ASTM-F2413-18 standards for metatarsal protection, be slip resistant, and mostly leather on their FIRST DAY.
Without them we will not be able to allow them on to the shop floor to work.
*When available- Eaton will loan shoe covers for the 1st 2 weeks.
This is a safety requirement for all Eaton employees however, they allow Contract employees a two week window of time from their start date to obtain the appropriate shoes/boots. (Metatarsal guards protect the top of the foot from heavy weights that may cause injuries by heavy items falling, dropping, or rolling onto the top of the foot.)
