Summary: The main function of an assembler is work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assembly of components including plastic parts, ball screws, gears, and motors,

including final assembly

• Operate manual machines

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures

• Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process

• Align material and put together parts to build more complex units

• Check output to ensure highest quality

• Maintain equipment in good condition

• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

• Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations

and procedures

• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical

terms.

• Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.

• Test finished products for defects.

• All other duties as assigned

 

Skills:

Some experience as an assembler preferred

• Technical knowledge and ability to read assembly instructions and follow standard operation

procedures

• Ability in using tools and machines

• Good understanding of quality control principles

• Good communication skills

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition

• Works well in a fastpaced team environment.

 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

0-2 years experience required.

 

$16.19/hr.
