Summary: The main function of an assembler is work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
Job Responsibilities:
Assembly of components including plastic parts, ball screws, gears, and motors,
including final assembly
Operate manual machines
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
Check output to ensure highest quality
Maintain equipment in good condition
Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations
and procedures
Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical
terms.
Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
Test finished products for defects.
All other duties as assigned
Skills:
Some experience as an assembler preferred
Technical knowledge and ability to read assembly instructions and follow standard operation
procedures
Ability in using tools and machines
Good understanding of quality control principles
Good communication skills
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
Works well in a fastpaced team environment.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
0-2 years experience required.
