Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday
Hours: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Overtime: Mandatory OT as required
Pay: $23/hr + $/hr shift differential = $*/hr
The Assembler is responsible for safely operating equipment within the Hose Assembly Value Stream while maintaining acceptable quality and productivity standards. The position involves hose assembly, hose coiling, pressure testing, inspection, labeling, and related production activities.
Share responsibility for ensuring finished goods meet or exceed customer expectations.
Identify and follow special instructions and customer requirements.
Retrieve setup sheets from the computer and select the appropriate tooling, crimp dimensions, drawings, and pressure ratings.
Pull components required to process production orders.
Inspect tubing and hose prior to processing.
Check hose and crimp dimensions against applicable drawings and crimp requirements.
Perform pressure testing of hose assemblies.
Assist with maintaining accurate inventory.
Create product labels and accurately complete production reports.
Maintain accurate quality and production records.
Follow established quality standards and guidelines.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow 5S practices.
Identify and report problems or unusual conditions to the Value Stream Team Lead.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Value Stream Team Lead.
Work safely in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and procedures.
Report unsafe conditions, practices, unlawful activities, and environmental or health concerns to management.
Immediately report safety and environmental incidents to management.
Operate equipment efficiently to minimize product and component waste.
Participate in peer-based teams and continuous-improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and 5S programs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
On-the-job training will be provided for approximately 1–8 weeks, with training potentially extending to 10 weeks if needed.

The position requires regular physical activity, including:
Lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Standing and walking for extended periods.
Bending, twisting, turning, and reaching.
Reaching below the knee.
Pushing and pulling.
Squatting and kneeling.
Lifting above the shoulders.
Performing repetitive manual tasks.
Working with a high degree of manual dexterity, including under restrictive conditions.
The employee may be exposed to:
High noise levels from operating machinery and equipment.
Physical hazards associated with machinery and moving reels.
Areas requiring personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
Steel-toe safety shoes
Eye protection
Hearing protection
Extended periods of standing and physical activity.
Flexible working hours and short-notice overtime requirements.
Reports To: Value Stream Team Leader
Works Closely With: Maintenance Team to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Successful completion of required pre-employment screening.
Ability to comply with all applicable safety and workplace requirements.
