This position will either be 1 st or 2 nd shift and will be discussed during the interview stages. You must be comfortable, flexible, and willing to work either shift.
We are seeking a skilled, experienced Assembler to join our team in a maritime manufacturing environment. In this role, you will assemble machines and equipment using tools, drawings, and standard procedures. You will work with a team to build and inspect high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safety rules at all times
- Assemble parts, machines, and equipment based on drawings and instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Perform quality checks during and after assembly
- Safely use cranes and rigging equipment
- Prepare products for shipping
- Handle basic hydraulic systems and shaft alignments
- Assist with training and mentoring less experienced team members
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of prior experience as an Assembler; preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read blueprints and use basic math and measuring tools
- Comfortable working on elevated equipment and surfaces
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand, bend, and crouch for extended periods
