ASSEMBLER/MANUFACTURING OPERATOR (PA2025)

Operator I – 2nd Shift

Location: Atlanta, GA – Onsite
Schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Contract Duration: Through October 5, 2027
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Operator I to support the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, the Operator I will perform a combination of assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical device assemblies, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related components.

This position is ideal for candidates with manufacturing or production experience who are comfortable working with small components, detailed procedures, quality documentation, and strict safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine production assignments according to standardized procedures and work instructions.
• Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical device components and assemblies.
• Handle and maneuver small components and parts with care and precision.
• Follow written procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date job documentation for cell operations.
• Complete traveler and quality documentation to ensure all parts are properly traceable.
• Identify and communicate production problems, ideas, and potential solutions to manufacturing management.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use required safety equipment and devices.
• Participate in quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support efforts to improve production quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Monitor individual and cell performance metrics.
• Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Use electronic data collection systems and computer software as required.
• Prioritize work based on job sequence, timing, precedence, and importance.
• Make appropriate decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with coworkers, management, customers, and visitors.

Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing, production, assembly, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written procedures.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to handle small components and parts.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate problems and solutions clearly.
• Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA.
• Ability to work the 2:30 PM–11:00 PM 2nd shift.

Preferred Experience:

• Medical device manufacturing.
• Cleanroom manufacturing.
• Precision or small-component assembly.
• Testing or repair of manufactured products.
• Pacemaker, ICD, lead, or similar medical device experience.
• GMP, QMS, FDA, ISO, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Production documentation and traceability experience.

Required Production Area Dress Code

Because this is a medical device manufacturing environment, strict gowning and contamination-control requirements apply.

Candidates must be prepared to comply with requirements including:

• Clothing must be clean, non-shedding, and free of frayed hems, loose threads, tassels, glitter, sequins, or other loose materials.
• Sweaters, fleece, loose-knit, and loose-fiber garments are not permitted.
• Clothing must fit appropriately under required lab coats/gowns.
• Sleeves must fit under gowning materials.
• Torsos, upper arms, and legs must be covered.
• Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required.
• Shoes may not have heels higher than 2 inches.
• Sandals, clogs, slippers, and open-toe/open-heel footwear are prohibited.
• Socks or stockings are required.
• Nail polish, acrylic nails, artificial nails, and similar nail coatings are not permitted.
• Jewelry or piercings that could damage gloves or cannot be covered are not permitted.
• Makeup is not permitted in the production area.
• Strongly scented personal products are not permitted.
• Any open or bleeding wound must be properly covered.
• Head coverings used for religious or personal accommodations must comply with gowning requirements.
• Clothing and personal items must not create a safety hazard around machinery.
