Position: Assembler_Mechanical IV - Manual/CNC Machinist
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $22/hr - $25/hr on W2
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (OT & weekends available)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manual/CNC Machinist to support Rotor and Machine Shop operations. The ideal candidate will operate CNC and manual machines including lathes, VTLs, and mills to machine Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Aero components while maintaining tight tolerances and meeting OEM specifications.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate CNC and Manual Lathes, VTLs, and Milling Machines
• Program CNC equipment and perform machine setup activities
• Align large rotors and components for machining and runout correction
• Read and interpret OEM drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation
• Apply GD&T principles and perform machining calculations (speed, feed, depth of cut, etc.)
• Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot machining issues
• Select and secure fixtures, tools, and materials as required
• Support and maintain a strong safety culture

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of machining experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong experience with CNC and Manual machining operations
• Expertise in turning OD/ID, grinding, burnishing, and feed rate calculations
• Experience supporting Gas Rotors, Steam Rotors, Cases, Aero Components, and related repairs
• Gas turbine repair experience (HSPT, GE10, FR3, FR5, FR6, F7) is preferred

The client is seeking candidates with:

Minimum 3 years of manual machining experience.
Experience setting up and operating manual lathes and vertical mills.
Ability to edit or write G-code for CNC machines.
Strong blueprint reading and machining knowledge.
Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, OD micrometers, and ID micrometers.
Ability to read and interpret metric engineering drawings.
