We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Medical Device Assembler to join our team in the production of high-quality components for the medical device industry, specializing in eye surgery equipment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the assembly of small, delicate components, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to quality control processes are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precise Assembly: Assemble small components for medical devices, with a primary focus on eye surgery products, to meet exact specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Perform visual inspections and functional tests on assembled components to ensure accuracy and compliance with strict medical industry guidelines.
- Follow Procedures: Adhere to detailed assembly instructions, blueprints, and manufacturing protocols to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Tool and Equipment Operation: Utilize specialized tools, equipment, and machinery for assembly tasks while maintaining safety practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities and completed assemblies, including logging serial numbers, lot numbers, and tracking components.
- Cleanroom Environment: Work in cleanroom conditions as required, ensuring product sterility and maintaining compliance with cleanliness standards for medical device manufacturing.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and achieve goals.
- Adherence to Industry Standards: Ensure strict compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and company policies related to medical device manufacturing.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot minor assembly issues, escalating complex problems to supervisors or engineers when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant certifications or technical training in medical device assembly or manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in device assembly, manufacturing, or production, preferably within medical devices or precision components.
- Skills:
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Basic understanding of cleanroom protocols and sterile assembly practices.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to follow complex procedures.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with small tools, microscopes, and other assembly equipment.
