PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Oldsmar, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Assembler will perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. This 1st shift role requires hands-on assembly experience, the ability to read diagrams and drawings, hand and power tool experience, and the ability to pass a required medical exam.

Required Skills

  • Electronic, mechanical, or production assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to read and work from diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Ability to make initial layouts.
  • Ability to perform continuity checks on in-process and completed assemblies.
  • Ability to conduct or support quality inspections in accordance with specifications.
  • Ability to disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies or subassemblies as needed.
  • Ability to work on repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly tasks.
  • Ability to pass a required medical exam.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.

Preferred Skills

  • IPC-A-610 experience strongly preferred.
  • IPC-A-610 soldering experience.
  • Several years of IPC-A-610 soldering experience for candidates seeking the top end of the pay range.
  • Experience assembling electronic or mechanical modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, or cables.
  • Experience supporting prototype, experimental, or rework assembly.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, electronics, manufacturing, or high-reliability production environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Assemble modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, cables, and related hardware.
  • Work from diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Make initial layouts as required.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and related production equipment.
  • Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
  • Conduct or support quality inspections on the production line.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies or subassemblies as needed.
  • Support experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions when required.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and production standards.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 1st shift.
  • Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM.
  • Full-time schedule.
  • Overtime expected as needed.

Pay

  • $18.00–$25.00/hour
