PGS Worldwide is seeking Electronic Assemblers in Plymouth, MN for one-year contract roles supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Electronic Assemblers will perform hands-on production assembly work on electronic and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. This role requires IPC J-STD-001 certification, hand soldering or electronic component assembly experience, and the ability to follow drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- IPC J-STD-001 certification.
- 1–3 years of experience in hand soldering or assembling electronic components.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations.
- Ability to assemble electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Ability to work from diagrams, drawings, and instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and related assembly equipment.
- Ability to make continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
- Ability to conduct quality inspections in accordance with quality specifications.
- Ability to disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies and subassemblies.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members and follow instructions.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- No security clearance required.
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- 5+ years of hand soldering experience, including inspection, rework, repair, and use of various soldering tools and equipment.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical documents.
- MES software experience.
- Microsoft 365 experience.
- Experience with electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, hand soldering, solder inspection, solder rework, solder repair, continuity checks, prototype assembly, production assembly, cable assembly, component assembly, and quality inspection.
What You’ll Do
- Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Assemble modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, cables, and related components.
- Work from diagrams, drawings, layouts, and production instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and related assembly equipment.
- Perform hand soldering and electronic component assembly.
- Make continuity checks during production and on completed work.
- Conduct quality inspections on processing lines as required.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies.
- Follow specifications, quality requirements, and simulated test conditions as needed.
- Communicate with team members and follow manufacturing instructions.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Onsite in Plymouth, MN.
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM–3:30 PM.
- 9x80 A schedule.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
