    Job Description

    Position Summary

    The Assembler performs complex assembly activities and is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality, workmanship, and customer requirements throughout the build process. This role performs assembly testing and adjustments, reviews production data, identifies non-conformances, and verifies proper material handling.

    The Assembler also supports continuous improvement efforts and provides direction and training to team members on product and customer specifications and workmanship standards. This position works independently with moderate supervision and exercises judgment when addressing production and quality concerns.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform complex assembly, assembly testing, adjustments, inspections, and quality checks in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
    • Review production data to identify areas of non-conformance and implement modifications as appropriate.
    • Audit all stages of the build sequence for completeness, consistency, quality, and workmanship.
    • Ensure and verify materials are properly handled and loaded onto production lines.
    • Identify production, assembly, or quality issues and provide immediate feedback and training when problems occur.
    • Provide direction and training to team members on product requirements, customer specifications, and workmanship standards.
    • Collaborate with team members to develop modifications and improvements to equipment, processes, systems, and tooling.
    • Prepare status reports and maintain appropriate production documentation.
    • Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
    • Work independently with moderate supervision.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Vocational or technical training, or equivalent training or experience.
    • 2-4+ years of production or related work experience.
    • Experience performing complex assembly or related manufacturing work.
    • Skilled in the operation and use of a variety of assembly tools.
    • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, specifications, and established procedures.
    • Strong visual acuity, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment within the scope of the role.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and experience using MRP systems.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with assembly testing, inspection, or quality-control processes.
    • Experience identifying and addressing manufacturing non-conformances.
    • Experience working with production documentation, customer specifications, or workmanship standards.
    • Experience providing hands-on training or guidance to production team members.
    • Experience supporting manufacturing process or tooling improvements.

    • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to perform detailed assembly, testing, and inspection work.
