Job Title: Assembler 

Department: Manufacturing 
Reports To: Assembly Supervisor 
 
Job Summary: 

The Assembler is responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling components and subassemblies into finished products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and workplace safety while supporting BPP’s manufacturing operations. 

Assemblers are expected to follow standardized processes, maintain attention to detail, and work collaboratively to meet production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assemble components and products by reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions. 
  • Utilize CAD viewing tools (e.g., eDrawings) to reference designs and ensure accurate assembly. 
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment safely and effectively. 
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and functionality; identify defects or nonconformities. 
  • Follow standardized work procedures, quality requirements, and safety guidelines at all times. 
  • Accurately record production data, including quantities assembled, cycle times, and any issues encountered. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards. 
  • Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or equipment problems to the Assembly Supervisor promptly. 
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and care of tools and equipment as assigned. 
  • Assist with material handling, inventory accuracy, and proper part identification as needed. 
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, or safety. 
  • Comply with all company policies, including safety, quality, and operational procedures. 
 
Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred. 
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions. 
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and mechanical aptitude. 
  • Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills. 
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs (or as required). 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. 
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.
