Position Overview

The Manufacturing Technician supports PVC and CPVC fabrication, assembly and production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and hands-on experience with fabrication equipment.

This position also supports quality inspections and may assist with field equipment startup and troubleshooting activities as needed. Candidates with pipe fabrication, plastics manufacturing, or field installation experience are strongly preferred.

Core Responsibilities
  • Fabrication & Production
  • Operate saws, drills, routers, and other fabrication equipment for cutting, drilling, and assembling PVC/CPVC components.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and assemble manifolds, headers, and related piping systems to work order specifications.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, system layouts, and production work orders.
  • Operate semi-automatic and automatic equipment, including CNC and injection molding machines.
  • Perform machine setups and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report material usage, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Assist with inventory control and purchasing activities as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet daily and weekly production targets.

Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing production and field requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pipe fabrication, plumbing systems, aeration systems, or plastics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with PVC solvent welding and mechanical fittings.
  • Experience working with diffuser systems or industrial piping assemblies.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
