Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Assembler / Tester II to join a manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, and preparing valve and choke products for shipment while ensuring all components meet required specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has previous mechanical or manufacturing experience, is comfortable using hand and power tools, and has the attention to detail necessary to accurately test and inspect finished components.
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED preferred
13 years of manufacturing, assembly, or mechanical experience preferred
Ability to read and follow work orders, technical instructions, and production specifications
Experience using hand tools and power tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurements
Ability to work independently and follow established production procedures
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble valve and choke components according to work orders and production specifications
Use hand tools and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks
Test and calibrate completed parts to required tolerances and customer specifications
Identify components that fail testing or inspection requirements
Perform necessary repairs, adjustments, or rework on components that do not meet standards
Maintain accurate testing logs, equipment records, and job documentation
Apply serial numbers and quality stamps to maintain product traceability
Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy and quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Perform additional assembly and testing duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous mechanical assembly experience
Manufacturing or industrial production experience
Experience testing or calibrating mechanical components
Familiarity with valves, chokes, or similar industrial equipment
Experience using measuring tools and performing quality inspections
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive physical activity
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools while wearing required PPE
Comfortable performing hands-on assembly and testing work in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and assembly facility
