Assembler/Tester Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional to accurately and efficiently assemble and test products to meet customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. This role involves performing lock wiring, subassembly, and final detailing functions on routine assignments. The position actively contributes to lean initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs while receiving direct supervisory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assembly and test functions using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Record test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
• Produce and inspect assemblies that conform to product specifications and industry standards.
• Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, and glaze. Mix paint and clean parts as necessary.
• Actively participate in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions for improvement.
• Observe all safety rules and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
• Ability to calculate basic shop math.
• Proficient in computer use.
• At least two or more years of manufacturing experience, including assembly.
• Post-secondary education in electronics technology preferred.
• Soldering experience is a plus.
• Must present a copy of diploma or GED prior to the interview and have US Citizenship.
• Not looking for entry-level candidates; require some mechanical assembly, soldering, electrical, machining, or engineering education.

Shift and Schedule

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm.
