Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for performing a variety of non-routine and non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic and /or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed work. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with control procedures.

Typical requires a high school diploma or equivalent and seven or more years experience.
Must be customer focused and possess:
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and wire lists.
Extensive knowledge in specialized functions.
A comprehensive understanding of the general and specific aspects and technical phase of the job and their practical to complex applications to intricate problems.
Good knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the position.
Familiarity with use of soldering and compression connection tools.
Good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors.
The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearance is required.
