Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
This role involves assembling mechanical, electrical, and sub-assemblies of complex electromechanical units in accordance with blueprints, military specifications, build books, and other technical documentation. You willwork with a variety of tools and measuring equipment to build high-quality products that meet stringent aerospace standards.
Responsibilities
  • Build mechanical, electrical, and sub-assemblies of units in accordance with blueprints, MIL-Specs, build books, and other specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and use hand tools, machine tools, special tools, electrical devices, and measuring equipment required for assembly work.
  • Apply good wiring practices when working on electrical assemblies and complex electro-mechanical actuators or similar products.
  • Use electrical and mechanical measuring instruments and hand tools to verify dimensions, alignment, and quality of assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Track and monitor tool and equipment calibration status to ensure all tools used in assembly meet required standards.
  • Maintain control and proper usage of sub-assembly fixtures, hand tools, and power tools during the build process.
  • Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure all assemblies meet required specifications and performance criteria.
  • Collaborate with team members and support functions to resolve assembly issues and improve build processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and industry safety practices.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience with electrical and mechanical assemblies of complex electro-mechanical actuators or similar products, including good wiring practices.
  • Previous J-STD-001 soldering experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical ability in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Ability to use electrical and mechanical measuring instruments and hand tools accurately and safely.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Capability to set up and operate hand, machine, and special tools, as well as electrical devices and measuring equipment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to meeting technical specifications and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working with MIL-Specs and build books in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with calibration tracking and basic documentation of tool status.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to support continuous improvement efforts.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment focused on electromechanical actuators and control electronics. Standard hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including a 30-minute meal break and a 15-minute scheduled morning break. Daily and Saturday overtime may be required depending on production needs. You will work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, machine tools, electrical devices, and measuring instruments, following detailed technical documentation and industry standards. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.34 - $25.34/hr.
