Cable Assembler
This role supports an electronics manufacturing operation that builds high-reliability cable and harness assemblies used in mission-critical aerospace, defense, and advanced technology systems. Responsibilities:
* Assemble complex cable and wire harnesses using crimping, soldering, stripping, and termination techniques.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
* Perform continuity and functional testing using cable testers and other verification equipment.
* Inspect completed assemblies for workmanship, accuracy, and reliability prior to release.
* Identify and resolve wiring or assembly issues in collaboration with quality and production teams.
* Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, torque tools, and soldering equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all quality management system procedures.
* Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement activities to expand technical skills.
Requirements:
* Availability to work either 6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in cable, wire harness, or electronic assembly.
* Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
* Experience using hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, torque tools, and soldering irons.
* Detail-oriented, dependable work style with the ability to perform precision tasks consistently.
* Experience with fiber optics, soldering, or electrical testing is a plus.
* Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.
* Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand-assembly tasks.
* Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
* Ability to visually inspect small components with and without magnification and distinguish color variations.
